You should choose carefully which keywords and phrases you wish to use on a page by page basis. They should be reflected everywhere in your page. Some people make the mistake of repeating their keywords throughout their site. Some even have the same meta keywords and discriptions on every page. Most search engines will mark you down for this.Your domain name is important. Check out your competitors. What key words do they use. H1 - H7 tags are also important.
Your main onscreen title.
Alt command in your image tags are also important. Some search engines also pay attention to the unseen lines, usually used as a reminder of where certain parts of pages are at. The title
Your page title goes in here
tag is very important. You are allowed a maximum of 50 charactersin this tag. A word of warning though. Do not over do it. My advice is to be honest with a touch of salespersonship on top. Too much and you may get blacklisted! Get yourself a free email account like Hotmail or Yahoo. Register with a FFA network giving the affore mentioned free e mail address when you register. That way your regular inbox will not get swamped with junk mail from others in the FFA network. A couple of days later, submit to the search engines . By doing this your advertisement with the FFA networks will appear in many sites. This may or may not bring you extra traffic. The point is that it will mean your site will be linked from a lot more web sites. Some search engines will improve your ranking in relation to the number of sites linked to you. |
